About Ravisloe Country Club
Founded in 1901, Ravisloe Country Club holds a special place in Chicagoland’s history as one of its first and most prestigious country clubs. After a fire destroyed the original building, our iconic Spanish Mission-style clubhouse was completed in 1917—ushering in a new era of grandeur. For decades, Ravisloe was an exclusive gathering place for Chicago’s elite, setting the scene for unforgettable celebrations and timeless elegance.
Our golf course, designed by the legendary Donald Ross, has earned acclaim as one of the finest in the region—hosting generations of great golfers since its inception.
In 2009, conservationist Dr. Claude Gendreau acquired Ravisloe with a bold vision: to preserve its beauty while making it accessible to all. Guided by his belief that “such a special place should not be for the enjoyment of only the privileged,” Ravisloe was reimagined as a space where everyone is welcome to create memories.
Today, we are proud to host over 50 weddings each year through Ravisloe Weddings, offering couples a breathtaking setting rich with history, natural beauty, and timeless charm. Our dedication to exceptional service and unforgettable experiences has even been featured nationally—as a host venue in Netflix’s Love Is Blind (Season 2).
Whether you're here to say “I do,” play a round, or celebrate something meaningful, Ravisloe is more than a venue—it's a legacy of love, elegance, and inclusivity.
